Peggy finds a birthday card under her car keys and a new bear keyring from Polly. "He can help me look after the Bear Mobile." Percy has planned a birthday drive to the seaside for a picnic, and Aurorasauras and Artie Bear say that Peggy can choose the music.

With the picnic packed safely in the boot and everyone in a proper seat, off goes the Bear Mobile, past Pip and Rosie on the village green and along lanes full of flowers. But when they reach their seaside bench, somebody is painting it! Peggy spots another bench overlooking the harbour, and the new view is lovely. Kit gives her a picture of her little car, and back in Puddlebrix, LJ, Pip and Rosie are waiting with balloons and a cake.
