Owl's Moonlight Birthday (Aurorasauras & Artie Bear, Book 41)
Aurorasauras & Artie Bear, Book 41 by Paul Rawly
Owl's birthday begins when most of Fern Forest is getting ready for bed. Aurorasauras, Artie Bear and Pip come back with LJ for a visit, bringing a little wooden star, a picture of the forest and a card with a very thoughtful-looking owl on it.
Owl wants his friends to hear the forest after dark, so they set off on a short listening walk with Artie's little lantern. Owl teaches them his calls: a soft hoo means hello, and two short hoots mean follow me. They hear a hedgehog rustling in the ferns, a tiny stream telling a story and Owl's cousin calling happy birthday from across the valley. Pip even learns to call back.
A calm, cosy bedtime story about listening, patience and nocturnal animals.
The story is followed by 10 activity pages with story questions, feelings prompts and drawing spaces to share together. For children aged 3 to 7.
