Pearl the Mermaid (Aurorasauras & Artie Bear, Book 7)
Aurorasauras & Artie Bear, Book 7 by Paul Rawly
"Beach day!" calls Artie Bear. Aurorasauras, Pip and Nell pack buckets, spades and snacks, and off they go to the sea with Mum. Then Pip hears a soft, friendly voice from the rocks. Sitting there, with a shimmering tail, is a mermaid called Pearl.
Pearl would love to play, but first she needs help: she has lost her little pink shell, and it is very special to her. The friends search the sand while Pearl searches the sea. They find a grey stone and a white feather, look under seaweed and behind rocks, until Nell spots something pink shining in the sun. Pearl holds the shell to her ear, and everyone takes turns to listen to the whispering waves.
A magical seaside story about helping others, making new friends and sharing.
The story is followed by 11 activity pages with story questions, feelings prompts and drawing spaces to share together. For children aged 3 to 7.
