Hannah's Birthday Window of Colours (Aurorasauras & Artie Bear, Book 38)
Aurorasauras & Artie Bear, Book 38 by Paul Rawly
Hannah loves the way coloured light moves across the church floor. For her birthday, Trevor and Kit have a plan: a window full of pictures from their new friends.
Aurorasauras and Artie Bear carry in a large cardboard frame, and everyone makes a picture from see-through coloured paper. Polly makes a red boat, Pip a blue postbox and LJ a little yellow doorway. Kit chooses green for the village garden, and Artie finally manages a bear with ears that stay put. One pocket in the middle is still empty. Aurorasauras suggests the church and Rosie suggests a tree, but Kit holds up his own drawing of their family. When the frame hangs in front of a sunny window, colour falls across the floor, with Kit's family glowing in the middle.
A warm, inclusive story about belonging, community and a new place that feels like home.
The story is followed by 10 activity pages with story questions, feelings prompts and drawing spaces to share together. For children aged 3 to 7.
